Time and again, she has sold us out to Donald Trump and his MAGA agenda while pretending we’re too dumb to notice.\nGrowing up in Allagash and spending years working 80-hour weeks in the woods to make ends meet, I know firsthand what working Mainers need from our government.\n\nAnd for 30 years, Susan Collins has failed us. Time and again, she has sold us out to Donald Trump and his MAGA agenda while pretending we’re too dumb to notice. And I’m sick of it.\n\nMy name is Troy Jackson. I’m a proud Mainer, father, and fifth-generation logger.\n\nThis weekend, I officially earned the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. Now it’s time to defeat Susan Collins and her billionaire backers. So I’m asking you to split a donation between my campaign and Resist Reclaim Rebuild to become a Founding Donor to my campaign right now and help us win the most important Senate race in the country.\n\nDONATE TO DEFEAT SUSAN COLLINS AND FLIP THE SENATE!\nLet me tell you a bit about what this race means to me.\n\nWhen I was growing up, I was a poor kid in a town full of poor kids. My family relied on food assistance at times. I distinctly remember when I was 13 years old, we didn’t have heat or running water, and I heard my mother quietly crying to herself, wishing she could do more for us.\n\nAfter high school, I became a logger like my dad, and his dad, and his dad before him. When a greedy landowner tried to screw my fellow loggers and me out of fair wages, I fought back. A whole bunch of politicians, including then-first-term Senator Susan Collins, promised to listen, but they left us high and dry — and I realized that nothing would change unless there were working-class voices in power.\n\nSo I ran for the Maine legislature, where I served 20 years, including six years as the President of the Maine Senate. It’s been the honor of my life to fight for working people.\n\nI drove hours each way between the North Woods and the State Capitol, because that's what the job required. I won those elections in a district that went for Trump by 20 points, because up here, people care less about a label and more about whether you give a damn about their family.\n\nI’m building this campaign the right way. With grassroots support from folks like you. I’m not running to impress the billionaires or the corporate class. I’m running for the mom who’s worried about how she’ll fill her gas tank this week. I’m running for the kid whose whole life will be determined by the quality of his education. I’m running to ensure every working family in Maine has the government they deserve.\n\nIf you believe in this fight and our movement, I’m humbly asking you to split a donation between my campaign and Resist Reclaim Rebuild today to help us reach our fundraising goal and take on the GOP’s millions. Even $10, $25, or $50 makes a difference >>\n\nCHIP IN $10 TODAY! >>\nCHIP IN $25 TODAY! >>\nCHIP IN $50 TODAY! >>\nIn solidarity with you always,\n\nTroy Jackson\n\nResist Reclaim Rebuild is an organization committed to helping Democrats win up and down the ballot, nationwide.\n\nPAID FOR BY RESIST RECLAIM REBUILD PAC (WWW.RESISTRECLAIMREBUILD.COM) AND NOT AUTHORIZED BY ANY CANDIDATE OR CANDIDATE COMMITTEE. But\nTrump handpicked him, so now, Republicans have to do and spend whatever it\ntakes to get Rogers across the finish line.\n\nThat’s why $51 million in GOP Super PAC money has already been committed\nto stop the Democratic nominee: me.\n\nWe can't out-spend a $51 million war chest. We never could. But we've\nnever needed to — we just need to out-organize it, one donation and one\nconversation at a time. That's exactly how we won the primary, and it's\nthe only way we’ll win this seat in November.\n\nCan I count on your support,\nPeter? "body": "The future of work in the age of artificial intelligence.\n\nFriends, I want to talk to you about something that’s been keeping me up at night: the future of work in the age of AI.\n\nThe CEO of AI giant Anthropic has predicted Great Depression levels of unemployment within the next five years , while Bill Gates has said that humans won't be needed at all for most things within a decade. Corporate leaders at Intuit, Oracle, and Block are already citing AI as the reason for mass layoffs. And young workers in AI-exposed careers are struggling to find jobs.\n\nThe impacts of AI are already here, and the federal government has no real plan to deal with them. Meanwhile, AI billionaires are positioning themselves to make trillions off AI systems trained on human work and ultimately designed to push out workers.\n\nWe need to make sure AI augments human labor, not replaces it — and it is the job of the federal government to set up systems that support our workforce and economy. That's why I just introduced the AI Tax and Work Protection Act, a bill that levies a tax on AI companies based on their usage and revenue.\n\nThe tax rate starts low, but if unemployment rises as a result of AI, the rate rises with it. Revenue from the tax goes directly into a trust fund that powers a new Work Protection Administration, a jobs program housed in the Department of Labor that provides grants to states, cities, tribes, nonprofits, unions, and educational institutions to create good jobs.\n\nIn plain English: if AI companies eliminate jobs, they’ll pay more in taxes, and that money will go directly to creating new jobs in the public interest to replace the ones lost.\n\nRight now, companies effectively get a tax break for automating jobs. My bill reverses that.\n\nI’m proud to be leading this fight, and I’m going to push as hard as I can in the House to get this bill through and advocate for workers — but you know as well as I do that real progress is going to depend on whether we take back a Democratic majority this November.\n\nIf you want to see this legislation and more like it actually move forward, will you contribute to our efforts to flip the House? We have less than 75 days left until Election Day, and it’s going to take everyone working together to get this done.\n\nIf you’ve saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:\nDONATE $5 DONATE $20\n--- ---\nDONATE $30 DONATE $50\nDONATE $100 OTHER AMOUNT\nThank you for being in this fight with me!\n— Sara\n\nCongresswoman Sara JacobsCalifornia’s 51st District\n\nCONTRIBUTE NOW\n\nPaid for by Sara Jacobs for Congress\nSara Jacobs for Congress\nPO Box 120085\nSan Diego, CA 92112\nUnited States\n\n--- --- ---\nWe believe these emails are a critical way for Sara to stay in touch with supporters and constituents. It can be hard to imagine a world powered by clean energy; where everyone has the right to clean air and water; where we don’t have to pay an arm and a leg just to keep the lights on. But that world is possible. And it starts by electing leaders who have personal experience with the devastating health impacts of the fossil fuel industry. Fern Leard is one of those leaders, and she’s running to flip PA House District 120. (Will you join us to call voters for Fern this Monday at 6 PM ET?) Fern grew up – and still lives – in the coal country of NEPA, and she’s spent her life caring for her community as a nurse’s aide in pediatric and elder care. She’s seen her own community struggle with polluted waterways, damaged landscapes, and the long-term health consequences of coal mining. In Dimock, just 35 miles from Fern’s home, she’s seen residents deal with water contamination so severe that some can still light their tap water on fire. Fern’s first priority is regulating the rapid expansion of AI data centers. From coal mining to fracking, she’s seen how promises of economic development can leave Pennsylvanians dealing with degraded ecosystems and air quality hazards. She worked alongside NEPA community members to develop a data center land use ordinance for her own township. In office, Fern plans to: ✅ Support a moratorium on data centers ✅ Protect Pennsylvanians’ right to clean water and affordable utilities ✅ Expand access to community solar while environmentally remediating mining sites ✅ And hold corporations and polluters financially accountable for their actions. Will you join us to call voters online for Fern Leard this Monday, August 24 at 6 PM ET? "body": "Peter,\nThere's a battle for your bottom line. Corporations planned it, you feel it—but they've spent billions making sure you can't name it. They conceal, they confuse, they rebrand—but it all leads to the same goal: more of your money in their pocket, less of their product in yours. Remember watching your grandfather work on his all-steel, American-made car or truck with just a few simple tools? Somewhere along the way, corporations stopped seeing a great American machine to be proud of and started seeing lost revenue potential. Today, vehicles are an assortment of cheap plastic, complicated electronics, and systems so complex that routine maintenance like changing the battery feels impossible. That's by design. They engineer a car you can't work on so that every breakdown costs you more—and your problem becomes their payday. Moms were some of the first to notice corporations were messing with time-tested products. Whether it was shrinking portion sizes or replacing natural ingredients with unpronounceable chemicals, moms felt it long before terms like shrinkflation, slack-fill, and reformulation became household words. Grocery budgets today don't go nearly as far as they did just a few years ago—and the gap keeps growing. The latest corporate attack on the bottom line is already here—surveillance pricing. We can't always see it, but we have hard evidence of the pain surveillance pricing causes at grocery stores and airlines. In fact, we don't even know the full scope, because the algorithms are intentionally opaque and unaccountable. Massive retailers are hiring AI companies to build a file on you: your shopping history, your location, and your family details. They use it to charge you a different price than the person standing next to you for the exact same item. We've all seen the stories of Silicon Valley snapping up farms all across America's heartland to build massive data centers. They're not there to feed your AI searches. They're built to fuel the next wave of AI implementation, not for consumers, but against them. I'm sounding the alarm, because a country where a small group of the rich and powerful preys on the working class is a country in crisis. It's already happening, but I'm fighting to stop it. Just as those great American companies lost their way, too many in Washington have lost theirs. The interests of the God-fearing, tax-paying, family-raising majority of Middle America have been displaced—and far too many on both sides of the aisle are motivated by money that flows freely from the massive corporations headquartered on both coasts. Not me. I'll fight this battle because it's right—but I don't have to fight it alone. I know there are American patriots out there, tired of being overlooked by Washington and exploited by corporations, who feel every dollar of the financial strain that corporations engineered and Washington ignored. No more. Stand with me. Max-out contributions not required—this campaign is fueled by $5, $10, and $25 donations from people who've had enough. And all across the country,\nDemocratic candidates who speak plainly about affordability and offer\nbold, easy-to-understand plans to lower costs for working-class Americans\nare energizing voters and winning elections.\n\nThat's not a fluke. It's how Democrats are going to continue to win.\n\nIn the days following these victories, there will be no shortage of\nopinions about what the results mean for our party. But the candidates who\nwon made it crystal clear whose side they were on. And voters responded.\n\nI have a few longer thoughts below, but I believe it’s important we talk\nabout the future of the Democratic Party and how our success depends on\nthe choice we make right now.\n\nAre we going to carefully craft our policies to ensure that the rich keep\nright on getting richer, or are we going to build a party that ferociously\nand unapologetically serves the needs of working people?\n\nAfter we lost in 2024, according to some self-described experts, we lost\nbecause we were \"too progressive.\"\n\nBut for a lot of powerful people — from Wall Street to Silicon Valley to\nWashington — \"too progressive\" is often code for any economic agenda that\nasks the wealthy to give up even a little bit of their power or their\nprofits. We're being told that if Democrats want to win again, we need to\nwater down our economic vision.\n\nLet me be very, very clear about this: They are wrong.\n\nRevising our agenda to make wealthy donors more comfortable won't rebuild\ntrust with the American people. A Democratic Party that worries more about\noffending billionaires than delivering for working people is a party\nthat's doomed to fail.\n\nA Democratic Party that worries more about offending big donors than\ndelivering for working people is a party that’s doomed to fail.\n\nLet’s just look at the basic math. By definition, the top 0.1% of the\neconomic ladder doesn’t have a lot of votes. So when the question is\nraised whether Democrats should build our tent by sucking up to the rich,\nit’s sure not about attracting their votes. It’s about attracting their\nmoney.\n\nMost of these people are not interested in changing an economic game that\nis already rigged in their favor. In exchange for their financial support,\nthey insist that the Democratic Party turn its economic agenda in a\ndirection that mostly benefits the wealthy and further undermines the\neconomic stability of tens of millions of families across this country.\n\nThey can fund super PACs to prop up political campaigns for their chosen\ncandidates. They can fund their own lobbying efforts. They can build or\nsimply buy entire media empires to bend the news to their liking. And, as\nwe’re seeing right now with AI and crypto, they can try to crush anyone\nwho gets in the way of their business interests.\n\nSo how does this affect winning elections?\n\nAfter the 2024 election, pundits sliced and diced demographic groups —\nacross race, age, religion, and geography — to show how Democrats need to\ngrow our coalition to win again. Yes, we need support from rural voters,\nmen, and voters without a college degree. And yes, in 2025 we won back\nsome of those folks, partly because Democratic candidates from every wing\nof the party ran against Trump’s betrayal of working people on\naffordability issues.\n\nBut in the long run, to build a strong Democratic party with a sturdy big\ntent, it’s not enough to simply attack Trump. Democrats need to earn trust\n— long-term, durable trust — across the electorate.\n\nTrust that we actually understand what’s broken, and trust that we have\nthe courage to take on our rigged system and fix it — even when that means\ntaking on the wealthy and well-connected.\n\nDemocrats weren’t always just the default option when the other guys were\nworse.\n\nWe were once trusted by working people to fight for their interests. And\nwe delivered — even against tough Republican opposition. Social Security,\nstrong unions, the 40-hour workweek, overtime pay, Medicare, Medicaid,\nhomeownership for veterans and first-time homebuyers, the Affordable Care\nAct. Over and over, we showed that we could fight and we could deliver.\n\nThere is a temptation — in this moment of national crisis — to sand down\nour edges to avoid offending anyone, especially the rich and powerful who\nmight finance our candidates.\n\nYes, because of our broken campaign finance laws, Democrats need to raise\na lot of money. But money is not the only ingredient for a successful\nelection. When Democrats water down their economic platform to appeal to\nwealthy donors, whether the transaction is explicit or subtle, we squander\ntrust with working people and the money just isn’t worth it.\n\nDemocrats need a big tent. But there are two visions for what a big tent\nmeans.\n\nOne vision says that we should shape our agenda and temper our rhetoric to\nflatter any fabulously rich person looking for a political party that will\nentrench their own economic interests. The other vision says we must\nacknowledge the economic failures of the current rigged system,\naggressively challenge the status quo, and chart a clear path for big,\nstructural change.\n\nIf we are going to build a durable Big Tent, we must acknowledge a hard\ntruth: The Democratic Party cannot pursue both visions at the same time.\nEither we politely nibble around the edges of change, or we throw\nourselves into the fight.\n\nIf Democrats want to continue to win elections, including the midterms,\nthey need to read the room — or I should say, they need to read literally\nany room anywhere in America that isn’t filled with big donors.\n\nWhat does it mean to focus our agenda on an aggressive economic vision?\n\nAt its core, the goal is simple.\n\nMake life more affordable for working people.\n\nTo that end, the House and Senate passed the bipartisan ROAD to Housing\nAct — the most significant housing package Congress has approved in\nroughly three decades. The bill would help build more homes, reduce\nhomelessness, cut unnecessary red tape, expand opportunities for\nhomeownership, and bring down housing costs for families across the\ncountry.\n\nWhen we fight for policies that make life more affordable — and when we're\nwilling to take on the corporate interests standing in the way — we show\npeople exactly what kind of party we are.\n\nSo as we celebrate both Peggy, Abdul, and others' democratic wins across\nthe country, and as we keep planning for the upcoming midterms and the\nfuture of the party in general, here is what I know to be true:\n\nWe win when we show we're willing to fight.\n\nWe win when we run on the big changes it will take to build an economy\nthat works for everyone.\n\nWe win when we call out corruption.\n\nWe win when we stand against the avalanche of corporate money trying to\nbury our democracy.\n\nWe win when we prove — to working people, over and over again — that we\nknow exactly whose side we're on.\n\nIf you agree with this vision, and if you’re able to, please pitch in\nto support our campaign today. With your support, we’re fighting for\nDemocrats to win big in 2026, 2028, and beyond by campaigning on big ideas\nthat help working people.\n\nThanks for being a part of this,\n\nElizabeth\n\nDonate:\n\nFacebook:\nTwitter:\nInstagram:\nYouTube:\n\nPaid for by Warren for Senate\n____________________________________________\n\nAll content © 2026 Warren for Senate, All Rights Reserved\nPO Box 171375, Boston, MA 02117\n____________________________________________This email was sent to dpwillis67@gmail.com.\n\nTo unsubscribe, go to:",

So it's hard for me to look at what David Valadao has done and not see who he's actually working for.\n\nHe's taken nearly $100,000 from PG &E over the years. Could we count on you to rush a donation of $20 to buy a pizza for the people on the ground, doing the hard work that will flip the US Senate Blue?\nBuy our team a pizza ->\nBuy our team 1 pizza a month until election day ->\nNebraska is winnable. But it takes people showing up, day after day, and it takes all of us making sure they have what they need to keep going.\nThank you for fueling the fight,\nJane Kleeb Chair, Nebraska Democratic Party\n\nDONATE NOW\nVOLUNTEER\nMail checks to: Nebraska Democratic Party 3701 O St. Ste. 200 Lincoln, NE 68510\nPAID FOR BY NEBRASKA DEMOCRATIC PARTY\nNebraska Democrats 3701 O St Ste. 200 Lincoln, NE 68510 US\nUnsubscribe Update Profile Constant Contact Data Notice",

"body": "Across the country, tech companies are gunning to build data centers on whatever land they can get their hands on. These facilities use as much power as 100,000 homes and take enormous amounts of water to cool. For the parts of Oregon and our country that are already drought-prone, that's a strain on our resources we cannot afford. Meanwhile, the demand data centers are putting on our energy grids are driving up costs for everyone else. Utility bills have skyrocketed in the last year thanks to Republican policies that are gutting new energy projects and allowing data centers to gobble up energy from the grid. But even with those insane costs, they're being built all over the country as fast as possible, including in Oregon. Working folks shouldn't be footing the bill to subsidize the richest companies in the world. That's why I've unveiled a new proposal that will ensure that data centers start paying for the disruptions they cause to our communities by making them pay their fair share. These taxes would help offset the costs that communities have been stuck paying. While we prioritize innovation and remaining competitive in global markets, we must ensure that companies are paying their share of the bill, and my plan is the way to do it. "body": "Help Justin Pearson fight back.\n\nYou’re hearing a lot about data centers these days, and for good reason. These energy-guzzlers often begin building with zero local input, while families and local businesses are left to foot the bill of skyrocketing energy costs and even more toxic pollution. It’s quickly becoming one of the defining climate fights of our time. And one of the leaders at the center of that fight is JanePAC climate champion, Justin Pearson: Justin Pearson is bravely taking the fight for climate justice to Congress. And whoever wins this race for Tennessee’s 9th Congressional District could help define federal policy on data centers. We need that champion to be Justin. Because his opponent, Brent Taylor, is backed by Donald Trump and the entire MAGA machine: please split a donation between Justin’s campaign and JanePAC today to help us win this race. SPLIT A DONATION →\nJustin Pearson is no stranger to powerful corporations treating Memphis like a sacrifice zone.\nBefore he was an elected official, Justin led a grassroots movement that successfully stopped the multibillion-dollar crude oil Byhalia Pipeline from cutting through Memphis’s predominantly Black and low-income neighborhoods.\nNow, he’s fighting another massive corporate polluter in his own backyard: Elon Musk’s xAI.\nJustin’s neighborhood in South Memphis is sandwiched between two of the city’s biggest polluters. And both are owned by Elon Musk, the richest man in the world.\nAccording to multiple environmental groups who are now suing Musk’s xAI, these methane gas turbines could emit more than 2,500 tons of smog-forming pollution every single year.\nThat poisoned air is getting pumped into an area where the rates of emergency room visits for asthma are already the highest in the state.\nWe simply can’t afford a world where Justin isn't representing TN-09 in Congress. He’s the fighter demanding better for Memphis, while polluters like Elon Musk see this community as little more than an opportunity to line their pockets.\n*There’s no time to waste. Please split a contribution between Justin Pearson’s campaign and JanePAC right now. Once again, every dollar will help Justin fund the ads, voter outreach, and campaign staff he needs to go up against his Trump-backed opponent — and win → *\nSPLIT A DONATION →\n✊ In solidarity,\nTeam JanePAC\nFollow along: * * * * * *\n--- --- --- --- --- ---\nPaid for by Jane Fonda Climate PAC, not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.\nJane Fonda Climate PAC\n600 Pennsylvania Ave SE\n#15180\nWashington, DC 20003\nUnited States\nThis email was sent todpwillis67@gmail.com.\n\nClick here if you’d like to only receive our most important email updates.\n\nClick here to unsubscribe.",
